The Sr Systems Engineer is responsible for providing advanced level service support on servers, workstations, and network operating systems, including problem resolution, technical change implementation and maintenance for our clients. Ideal candidate should be passionate about technology and have excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
· Evaluate and manage network systems in relation to current and emerging technologies
· Oversee systems analysis by providing recommendations and assessments
· Responsible for the planning, deployment, systems integration, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and maintenance of operating systems, software application, systems security, and ensuring adequate system capacity and performance
· Design and document configurations and maintenance procedures
· Provide technical support to clients via telephone, remotely, and one-on-one.
· Generate trust, provide effective leadership and contribute trust competencies
· Understand our clients’ business, develop client relationships and deliver client experience
· Understand, operate and build our business
· Prompt and dependable attendance
Qualifications:
· MCSE, MCTS, or at least one certification in server, desktop operating systems or similar certification or related experience required
· Experience with SharePoint 2010, Citrix/Terminal Services, Exchange 2010 Unified Messaging, SAN/NAS and ISCI and large enterprise migrations required
· Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent preferred
· At least 5 years experience servicing, supporting and troubleshooting workstations and network systems
· Experience using system internal, wireshark, netflow for packet captures
· Requires advanced troubleshooting skills
· Proficient knowledge of desktop operating systems, workstations, servers, and network operating systems
· Experience validating firewall rules, secure network architecture, and the ability to identify and resolve weaknesses
· Candidate shall be working towards MCITP, VCP, CCA, and/or other certifications as mutually agreed
· Willingness to work on a mutually agreed upon career path
· Proficient use of language when giving instructions in person, over e-mail and over the telephone
· Must possess good communication skills with co-workers and clients
· Excellent time management skills
· Demonstrate competencies in accordance with the Performance Management Process.
· Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, partners, public and external agencies.
