Job Description
Position will function as a User Experience Analyst in Technology Strategy and will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of the user experience efforts for our customer-facing online technologies. The team member will work closely with senior-level executives to support effective product strategy and act as an end-user advocate. This person will provide innovative, customer-centric information and design recommendations that contribute to an enhanced end-user experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and direct user experience validation and testing: customer usability, field studies, focus groups, surveys to understand current and future needs.
- Definition of strategies and methodologies to embed a user-centered design process within the organization
- Customer requirements definition and workflow mapping
- Review of current and future system designs to ensure optimal and consistent user experience
- Creation of personas library and Day in the life studies to represent end-users
- Collaboration with and support of user-interface design team throughout the SDLC to ensure end user requirements are represented
- User experience consultation on special projects targeted at exploring end-user experience
Required Skills
- Bachelors required, Masters preferred in usability or related field
- Minimum Experience: 5 years as user-experience or human factors lead or manager; Financial industry experience preferred
- Software/System Skills Preferred: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Office 2007
- Proven ability to lead projects and team
- Strong knowledge and background in use-case analysis, heuristic analysis, and user personas
- Experience with formal and informal usability testing techniques
- Understanding of best practices in user interface design and information architecture
- Very strong communication skills
- Proven ability to manage milestones, deadlines, and scheduling for projects
