This position is for an Intermediate Portfolio Manager in the Investment Solutions Group (ISG), which is responsible for managing institutional balanced and tactical asset allocation accounts for SSgA.  This position will work directly with portfolio managers and researchers on ISG's quantitative strategies.  Research projects will be related to developing, monitoring and integrating models and investment strategies into our process. 

In addition, the PM will be responsible for ad hoc quantitative research such as strategy backtests, portfolio analytics, portfolio optimizations, trading simulations and other various portfolio and model output.

Successful candidates will have experience in areas of Finance, Applied Mathematics, and Economics with a specialization in investment management. Candidates are expected to have experience in quantitative analysis with strong programming skills.  In addition, candidates should be able to work well in a team and feel comfortable presenting research.
