The Project Manager will play a primary role in spearheading and facilitating key project initiatives within the Global Cash Business. The Project Manager's main responsibility is to take the lead on driving innovation in our processes and infrastructure supporting clients. Responsibilities will include working closely and developing strong relationships with the investment organization, external business partners and the broader GCB business. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of cash clients' investment needs and will address these needs by creating and facilitating solutions-oriented approaches. Further responsibilities will include coordination of the project workflow from initial scoping through the creation of execution strategy and management of deadlines and deliverables. In addition to coordination of the project the ICG Project Manager will, where necessary, document processes and responsible parties for ongoing maintenance and deliverables. The candidate should also have a very strong background in project management and business strategy.
The position is located in Boston and will report directly to the Head of the US Cash Business.
In collaboration with GCB leadership team, create project management plans to help drive the growth of the Global Cash Business
Execute on key project initiatives
Build strong internal and external relationships, notably across SSgA's cash investment teams, internal and external stakeholders
Serve as subject matter expert for project initiatives for the GCB
Bachelor's Degree
4-8 years of experience in asset management, and/or project management roles
Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities
Track record of intellectual curiosity, i.e. a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn and adapt knowledge base
Self-starter that will excel and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial team environment
Effective team player with positive attitude and ability to drive initiatives independently
Ability to multitask and prioritize various projects and initiatives across the group
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Occasional domestic and international travel
