Staff Accountant
Job Summary:
Exa Corporation’s growing Finance and Accounting Team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant. You will be a key member of this team, responsible for General Ledger maintenance and financial reporting and analysis for both domestic and international operations (Europe and Asia). You will also be responsible for supporting quarterly and yearly financial audits with our Big Four firm. Responsibilities:
- Participate in month-end close by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for our US, European and Asian subsidiaries
- Maintain various audit schedules and supporting backup documentation, historical files and records for audit and SOX requirements
- Fixed assets management including book and tax depreciation
- Prepare and file various state sales and use tax returns and property tax statements
- Assist with annual and quarterly audit reviews and fluctuation analysis
- Prepare various internal and external financial reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 1 - 3 years experience; Technology or software industry a plus
- Knowledge of US GAAP
- Desire to continuously learn and expand your skills in a dynamic environment
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take full ownership of responsibilities in a fast paced, team environment
- Ability to meet required department schedules and deadlines
- Strong PC skills (advanced Excel preferred)
