Job Responsibilities:

·         Assist with the execution of financial, operational, fraud investigations, information technology, or other audits and special projects as required.

·         Assist Manager, Internal Audit with developing strategies to improve internal controls and minimize risk.

·         Assist with defining the scope of the audits, based on an analysis of business risks, with the IAD and business unit managers.

·         Establish a business relationship with management and staff of business units and corporate departments.

·         Employ techniques such as process analysis, internal control assessments, financial modeling, statistical analysis, forensics, and utilization of ACL software to analyze company processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

·         Survey the function or activities to be audited and prepare detailed audit programs for use in performing the audit, including both tests of controls and substantive testing.

·         Keep IA Management informed of the status of audits in progress and any potential problems or significant audit findings as they arise.

·         Constructively work with business operations to: identify areas for improvement, collectively agree upon appropriate corrective actions, facilitate remediation efforts, and monitor progress to ensure that the Company is timely in addressing and remediating control weaknesses and process inefficiencies.

·         Understand technology risk in the context of business risk and assess company IT general controls (system access and security, logical access, SDLC/change management, etc.) and application controls embedded in automated processes.

·         Contribute to IA Management strategy to develop, sustain, and continuously enhance the image and perceived value of the IA Department within DISH Network.

·         Conduct complex and sensitive investigations, evaluations, and audits related to cases of internal and external fraud.

·         Employ proven interviewing techniques and coordinate the gathering, reporting, and dissemination of information to leadership and key stakeholders.

·         Provide corrective actions and facilitates efforts to prevent and detect future fraud and mismanagement in Company operations.

·         Assist with all activities related to Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 certification including:

*Risk Assessment

*Scoping

*Control Documentation and Updates

*Testing of Operating Effectiveness

*Education

*Reporting        

 

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

·         BA/BS Finance/Accounting, IT or business-related

·         CFE, CIA, CISA, CPA, or CISA professional certifications or candidates for certification required; Advanced degree a plus.

·         2+ years experience in corporate audit, business process consulting, information technology, and/or public accounting.

·         Sound track record of accomplishment.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, ability to maintain composure under pressure, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and the overall execution of job responsibilities are all essential qualities necessary to be successful in this position.

·         Excellent data analysis skills (including ACL, SQL, Advanced Excel, Access, or other tools)

·         Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, particularly Section 404.

·         Knowledge of COSO Integrated Framework for Internal Control

·         Systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance process.

·         A team player and ability to interact with all levels within the company.

·         Ability to travel approximately 10%-20% is required.
