Staff Engineer, Software Job in Foster City, California Us
This individual will be responsible for implementation and optimization of image processing algorithms on GPU/multi-core HPC platforms. He/she will be part of a product development team that provides advanced algorithmic solutions for automatic data analysis and quality assessment in software products for next generation sequencing systems.
BS/MS/PhD in physical science or engineering, with 4+ years programming experience, preferably in signal and image processing algorithms implementation in C/C++ and CUDA. Strong plusses include experience with Intel parallel studio (IPP, TBB), MATLAB, and Boost. Experience building software systems for data management, automated analysis, and data mining is highly desirable. Strong candidates will be responsible, self-motivated, effective at describing their work to a technically sophisticated audience, and capable of working independently and delivering commercial-quality software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with English are required.
