Key Responsibility (Result)
Areas
:

 

  
·International registration process and maintenance: to be
responsible of the fund registration process in various
jurisdictions. The role requires to liaise with various departments
of the company worldwide as well as third parties and external
service providers.

   ·To draft
agreements in relation with the international registration.

   ·To
follow up the periodical reports, long form reports and publication
of notices to shareholders.

   ·To
follow-up the evolution of the regulation and to bring your input
in the estimation of the consequences for UCI in order to support
providing optimal advise and information in time.

   ·To have
a pro-active approach on existing and new legal and fiscal
regulations.

Skills

Role Requirements:
 
Qualifications:
 
   ·Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a legal
discipline is required.
 
Experience:
 
   ·Evidence of fund structuring performance and
international fund registration experience. 
   ·Competent user of MS Office software(Word, Excel,
Outlook).
   ·Knowledge of Asset Management industry
   ·Ability to manage projects
   ·Fluent spoken and written French and English are
essential.
 
Specific other role
requirements:

 
·Fund structures international commerce:
   oKnowledge of the structures inherent within the
Fortis Investment product range (pooled product, segregated
mandates, CSAs, cloning, master/feeders etc).
   oUnderstanding of local regulatory constraints
concerning product structures and limitations. Developing own views
on optimisation of structures.
·Legal and fiscal support:
   oEstablishing excellent rapport and professional
relationships with relevant Regulatory authorities.
   oDemonstrating ability to negotiate and liaise
with authorities and external parties, as relevant to role.
   oDisplaying detailed understanding of local
legislation and taxation of Fortis Investment products, and
remaining abreast of evolution in regulations.
   oDemonstrating ability to successfully coordinate
inputs from BNP Paribas IP, third parties, specialised lawyers
offices and/or auditors.
   oDriving timely solutions to legal issues.
·Reviewing and suggesting changes / developments
