Tulare County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) is actively recruiting for a TulareWORKs Statistical Research Analyst to join the Human Services Department. This position requires a high level of flexibility in successfully working with people, data and equipment. General direction is provided by a Division Manager or higher level management position.
TulareWORKs Statistical Research Analyst will possess a high level of initiative, critical thinking and professional judgment. He/she will collect and organize data, conduct advanced statistical analysis and evaluate and interpret findings to detect trends. The successful candidate will disseminate an extensive range of program and operational data in various forms (electronic databases, spreadsheets, Word documents, PowerPoint Presentations, etc.) Work/coordinate with various units within TulareWORKs and HHSA to understand data systems and business processes that affect data quality and integrity. Additional duties include writing new and/or modifying Department Manual Policies, Procedures, and informational materials. As well as preparing correspondence and reports, including technical papers, and assisting in the development and preparation of project proposals for State and Federal funding requests. It is highly desirable for candidate to be familiar with software tools including, CalWIN Eligibility System, Compass Traffic Monitoring System and TulareWORKs Task Management Tool (TMT) and/or similar data systems.
The qualified candidate may have a combination of education or experience that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities. A typical way to obtain the knowledge is a Bachelors with major course work in mathematics, statistics or closely related field. Directly related program specific experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year for year basis. The qualified candidate will have one year of experience designing, conducting, analyzing, interpreting, and evaluating social service programs.
