STOCK ACCOUNTANT - LEICESTERSHIRE
12 MONTH MATERNITY COVER TO START ASAP

Our Leicestershire client are currently recruiting for a Stock Accountant to join their team on a 12 month maternity leave contract to start ASAP.
Reporting into the Senior Management Accountant you will be AAT qualified as a minimum and preferably be studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
The main responsibilities of the role will include :
- Monitoring, maintaining and reconciliation of weekly and monthly stock movement
- Production of weekly stock reports, stock reconciliations and free form credit/recharge reconciliations
- Analysis of aged stock accounts to ensure sufficient provision is available
- Reconcile, report and explain budget variances for the cash discounts received in both UK and Ireland to facilitate month end reporting
- Preparation of month end journals to reconcile balance sheet accounts in preparation for authorisation and review to comply with statutory audit requirements.
The ideal candidate will have worked in an accounting and finance function previously and have a sound understanding of basic accounting principles, be computer literate (specifically with Excel) and be focused, organised and pay attention to detail.
