Description
The Investment Management Strategic Financial Consultant is responsible for determining the financial implications of IM s proposed incentive plan designs including long-term incentive plans. He/she will consult with the business and IM Compensation as how best to maximize the efficiency of proposed plan design from a balance sheet/pl/tax perspective. He/she will take lead in assessing the impact of key business events (acquisition, lift-out, consolidation/merger, and/or discontinuation) have on existing/proposed incentive structures. From an administration/reporting perspective, he/she will serve as point to Corporate Finance for Investment Management incentive accrual process. He/she will oversee the valuation process for boutique equity plans including financial summary reviews; will act as liaison/relationship manager between external firms used to complete valuation and boutiques; and audit valuation reports to ensure assessment is complete and any interpretations or decisions required in the process is appropriate. In addition, he/she will oversee Investment Management total rewards financial metric reporting process including compensation budgeting/forecasting; trends and variance analysis to relevant business line management teams and CFO.
Qualifications
Undergraduate Degree. Advanced Degree preferred. 10 years experience. 15 years preferred. Deep/Strong Accounting, Modeling, Analytical and Compensation experience and ability required; accountability for deadlines, excellent communication and presentation skills required, proven project management skills required. Finance/Accounting experience required; HR/Compensation experience preferred. Individual should have strong working knowledge of accounting, financial and tax policies as it pertains to reporting of compensation plans. He/she must have strong analytical and modeling experience; and have a proven track record for managing projects effectively. He/she should have detailed understanding of financials for Investment Management/Wealth Management and detailed understanding of revenue recognition/realization. Finally, he/she should be experienced in effectively presenting financial information to senior leadership and working in a collaborative environment.
