Role Summary/Purpose

The strategic marketing leader plays a key role in developing GE Capital UK’s business strategy. The role is responsible to deliver longer-term strategic plan called Growth Playbook, including the identification and justification of new products and other growth initiatives to drive the business to the next level. The Marketing Leader helps build awarenees and drive business growth by providing understanding of markets, adjacencies, new products and growth initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

- Responsible for development and execution of Growth Playbook process (strategic plan) including market assessment, competitive assessment and strategic responses

- Understand and analyze the market structure, competition, trends/forecasts, government and regulatory issues, entitlement and profit Pools

- Effectively utilize key industry information and market knowledge to help position GE Capital UK to gain additional competitive advantage in market place.

- Provide actionable insights from these analysis, including marketing programs and recommend new markets, opportunities, and business models in adjacent/white spaces to drive revenue growth

- Closely cooperate with segment commercial and marketing leaders to identify, define and execute initiatives to support growth.

- Develop and co-ordinate the Voice of Customer (VOC), Voice of Market (VOM) , Voice of Government (VOG)

- Develop, quantify and drive differentiation through Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning strategies by understanding and articulating the Customer Value Proposition.

- Provide inputs for economic modelling to support volume assumptions and NPI justifications

- Develop relationships with key external thought leaders, customers, government and industry bodies. Be responsible for developing and executing the government relations' strategy of the business

- Define customer engagement plans for SLT

- Delivers value selling tools and associated collateral to the sales organization.

- Develop strategic roadmap that prioritizes most critical initiatives

- Collaborate with segment marketing leaders, EMEA HQ and commercial teams to refine strategy and accelerate commercial execution

- Organise events, conferences to promote GEC UK brand awareness

Qualifications/Requirements
• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree with strong experience in strategy and/or marketing
• Strong background in the strategy function of a major corporate or Consulting Firm
• Extensive knowledge of commercial finance industry
• Strategic thinker, able to create and execute concrete action plans
• Strong executive presence with proven capability to challenge the status quo
• Excellent communication skills, proven ability to develop and effectively communicate complex concepts and ideas in business terms to peers and senior leadership.
• Excellent influencing skills, ability to influence the decisions and actions of a range of senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills – easily able to source, analyse and present market data that can inform the decision making of senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to drive growth by developing creative solutions for customers and enhancing GE relationships
• Understanding and input into the business strategic planning processes of a large organization.
• Ability to work with diverse individuals, with multiple styles at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent project management skills
• Fluent in English
