Strategic Outsourcing Manager recruitment
Our client, a leading Irish banking institution is looking to add a Strategic Outsourcing Manager to their already strong team.
The role will require but will not be limited to the following:
- Support and enable of the business strategy, identify and evaluate opportunities for outsourcing/managed services across the business unit. With the support of the Senior Manager, write, evaluate and present business case.
- For opportunities approved, to manage the vendor selection process, including defining the managed service strategy, documenting operational and technical requirements, agreeing required service levels, issuing RFP and scoring shortlisted vendors. Work closely with procurement and legal on the commercial negotiations and contract.
- On selection of vendor, responsible for the implementation of the managed service including the transition plan, specification of the model including definition of the services and service levels, governance and reporting.
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the suppliers of the managed services. Hold the primary day to day relationship during initiation and implementation. Post implementation, the relevant business team with have the day to day interaction, but the role holder will continue to hold an overarching relationship with the service provider.
- Collation/presentation of an MI dashboard on initiatives under consideration, those being implemented, and the performance of those operating.
Going forward, it is expected that this role will grow to lead a team of 1-2 FTE’s, ensuring the team is being assigned to the appropriate initiatives and developing junior staff into potential future managed services managers.
This role is at manager level and is that of a 'delivery manager'. The role forms part of a newly structured team and focuses in the main on the following:
- Operational and implementation requirements
- Delivery Models.
- Strong relationship management focus, demonstrated ability to manage remote relationships.
- Must be experienced and adept at managing 3rd part relationships
- The role holds responsibility for arrangement and monitoring of service levels in line with quality.
- Identification of the wider strategic elements associated with outsourcing.
- Owner of the day to day outsource service.
- Responsibility for SLA's/Document Processes etc
- Ability to identify other potential opportunities for outsourcing going forward. Should also hold ability to recognise risks and challenges related to particular projects.
- Reports to a Senior Manager for escalation and will be expected to feed into strategy while overall strategic decisions are agreed at a senior level.
- Should have a trouble shooting and hands on approach.
- Must be detail focused.
