Job Description: Siemens Industry, Inc. is seeking a Lead Strategic Business/Pricing Manager for our US Flow Goods Business within the Centralized Pricing Organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead a team of Pricing professionals in an effort to drive strategic direction and execution of pricing strategies that optimize profit, drive sales, and increase market share while improving price accuracy across Siemens Industry, Inc. The job holder and his/her direct reports have a critical impact on business results as price management is typically the largest positive profit driver for organizational plan achievement. This role requires experience in people management, price and revenue management, negotiation, process definition, and strategic change management across multiple channels to market and Siemens Sales organizations. In addition, this position will act across all Siemens Industry, Inc. Product Divisions. This candidate must have experience in price management and have a history of being a trusted advisor, partner, thought leader, and consultant across a large matrix organization. He/she will have a successful track record in leadership and goal attainment, have experience working with enterprise pricing optimization software applications, is highly analytical, motivated and success driven, possess acute organization and project management skills, exhibit exemplary communication and presentation skills, and is well-versed in industry accepted pricing practices and strategies. The Strategic Business/Pricing Manager will be responsible for the implementation of customer facing pricing, drive discipline and adoption in our price delivery model, monitor and track performance and identify practices and/or tools to support goal attainment. The job holder will be accountable for delivering world-class price management strategies and for creating a culture of excellence and long-term capability. This will include recruiting and developing sophisticated and analytical strategic talent. Responsibilities will include: - Supervise and direct a diverse team of pricing professionals responsible for US regional product price and revenue management. - Direct activities surrounding price analysis and the execution of that analysis for thousands of agreements for industrial and commercial distributors and end-customers. - Provide strategic pricing and opportunity analysis along with the presentation of recommended direction - examine the long-term impact of high level organizational decisions and provide strategic pricing and margin information across the organization. - Operational Pricing Analysis ?" ensure Siemens Industry, Inc. is able to examine the near-term impact of price decisions and formulate corrective actions. - Responsible for communicating marketing pricing activities to the regional Sales team, Product Management, customer service organization, global partners, and manufacturing to ensure smooth transition of strategy to action. - Perform fact-based pricing analysis to understand our price positioning across the various market segments served. - Develop, recommend, and implement revenue optimizing pricing strategies to establish market price parity with profit impact. - Responsible for ad-hoc business/financial analysis for executive management and product marketing to arrive at and support fact-based business decisions. - Drive change management leveraging price optimization software within the organization. - Drive and manage price setting process for all products/services across all channels utilizing analytical tools for effective pricing decisions. - Partner with product managers across divisions to provide analysis and recommendations to improve category performance across existing and new products/services. - Drive and build support for cross-business unit requirements to ensure coherent participation across SII.
