Strategic Sourcing Specialist Job in Calgary, Alberta Canada
Eagle is currently seeking one (1) Strategic Sourcing Specialist. This contract opportunity is slated to begin in April, and is projected to be nine (9) months in length.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing and assisting with strategic sourcing initiatives;
- Ensuring standard purchasing processes and best practices are being used in category strategy initiatives;
- Ensuring early business engagement to ensure demand plan is analyzed for opportunity and internal commitment and executive support is gained for identified opportunities;
- Gathering category data and segment category spend to implement most effective sourcing strategy including best practice procurement and vendor rationalization;
- Analyzing marketplace and identifying industry structure and levers in supply market;
- Building cost models and identifying cost and value drivers; and,
- Delivering key contract management requirements including managing performance and relationship against established Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and scorecard including strict compliance with established business principles and ethics.
Skills and Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
- A degree in Business, Computer Science, or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent);
- 5+ years’ experience in business analysis (project or operational);
- A minimum 5 years’ experience working in the IT industry;
- Strong knowledge of Software and Hardware Licensing models;
- Strong facilitation skills;
- Knowledge of and exposure to SCM best practices and procurement tools;
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Working knowledge of SAP MM and SCM; and,
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with a variety of personnel, and other industry participants, both internal and external.
