Strategy and M&A Manager / TMT
A very exciting opportunity has arisen in a very high profile team with a leading TMT company in the City.
Responsibilities of the position:
• Evaluate value, strategic fit, and competencies of opportunities or companies for possible investment and/or other form of collaboration
• Manage due diligence process on potential acquisitions; collaborate with Finance in constructing financial models for the assessment of potential MA opportunities
• Undertake analysis of the broader market expects to participate in during the coming years, especially the BRICs; use findings to inform and guide the companys strategic decision making
• Contribute to medium and long-term business planning decisions; make suggestions based on rigorous and comprehensive assessment of growth potential and sustainability.
Essential knowledge and skills:
• Minimum of five years experience in TMT markets (ideally Telco) from investment bank or major consulting firm
• Experience in corporate finance
• Business or Finance degree
• Experience and confidence in building financial and market models to support the development of new business initiatives
• Demonstrable experience in effective business planning and previous accountability for supporting due diligence and market analysis
• Strong analytic skills
• Strong writing skills, mastery of PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; clear and dynamic presenter
• Ability to work independently
Desirable knowledge and skills:
• Comfort with, and ability to anticipate, basic technology issues and trends in mobile telecommunications and IP;
• Advanced degree in business (MBA)
• Experience in evaluating merger acquisition opportunities
• Experience in the satellite industry
• Multi-cultural awareness; experience of working in, and with, a wide variety of cultures
