Main Function
Responsible for making two-way markets on a variety of interest rate linked structured products and managing day to day risk of secondary positions. Actively traded structures include callable step-ups, fixed to floats, callable range accruals, equity/rate hybrids and inflation linked securities. Primary origination involves working with internal sales and external customers to generate yield enhancement ideas and customized payoff profiles to fit demand and customer needs. This involves analysis of forward market interest rate expectations, macro-economic views, credit and rate derivatives, and interpretation of client needs.
Initial day to day responsibilities will include term sheet generation, trade booking, relative value analysis and odd lot trading Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Series 7 63
- Minimum of 1-3 years work experience in Investment Banking
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Detail oriented
- Proficiency in MS Office with strong excel and PowerPoint skills
- Thorough understanding of interest rate and credit markets
- Structured Note experience preferred
- Familiarity with the different legal platforms and credit/rates derivative experience a plus
