This position is located at Exempla Good Samaritan Medical Center in Lafayette, Colordao.
Some travel to surrounding hospitals will be necessary to gather requirements and provide support, May travel to out of state hospitals to gather requirements for system implementation.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, computer science, or computer related major or two year degree and equivalent experience in computer science or project management
- Customer Service skills - telephone skills; effective listening skills; and able to perform appropriate follow-up and communication back to customer
- Organizational skills - prioritizes tasks; ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently; assigns tasks appropriately; works independently; and ability to work with peers to develop solutions
- Analytical skills - translates customer requests into functional specifications; translates functional specifications into operational procedures; determines cause of a failure (trouble shooting); and discerns alternate resolutions to a request/problem.
- Project Management skills - demonstrates use of project management concepts; executes project tasks and activities; reports status of tasks to project manager; defines project task sequence; delegates task and assignments as appropriate including monitoring staff time in Project Server.
- Technical/Industry - working knowledge of current project management techniques, OS software, hardware and wireless methodologies. Follows Industry standard for project development, resource allocation, implementation, product development and support.
- Management/Leadership - demonstrated record keeping; scheduling work assignments; delegating responsibilities; maintaining project budgets; decision making ability; systems/process development; developing policies and procedures; ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality; ability to form and maintain a teamwork environment both within and between departments; and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and information in non-technical terms.
- Supervisory/Personnel - demonstrated ability to perform HR functions for staff including, but not limited to, recruitment, interviewing, hiring/ terminating staff, PMI, annual performance evaluations, time and attendance records, required safety and compliance testing and records, personnel files including updating PSN and related personnel documentation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two years supervisory experience preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred.
PMI or other recognized project management certification (PMP).
