Our client an independent firm of accountants and business advisor's is seeking a talented and personable individual, who will thrive in an open and supportive atmosphere, where a wide variety of client sectors with differing issues and needs is available to keep you challenged.
About the role
The primary focus of the role will be to provide accounting and business advisory services to our client base. Daily duties will include preparation of accounts for clients at all levels from large corporate to SME's, financial projections and completing management accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis. Due to the nature of this work, a strong understanding of Financial Reporting Standards, Consolidation technique, LLP SORP and UK GAAP is essential.
You will be required to profitably manage a portfolio of clients, working with a team of staff to ensure the highest possible standards of client service at all times and to take an active role in the growth of the office through identification of opportunities and involvement in the business development process.
You will also be responsible for supervising the work of Assistants within the department and report directly to the management team. In addition to this, the successful applicant would be required to undertake any other tasks that are deemed appropriate within the scope of the role.
About you
The successful candidate will have previous professional services experience and ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified (or about to qualify) with a strong academic background. You will have strong financial reporting and accounting skills and a competent understanding of the Microsoft Office package and Sage Line 50. Likewise your communication and organisation skills will be well developed, ensuring that the needs of the team, partners and clients are understood and actioned appropriately. Full training for all in house systems will be provided to the successful individual.
