You will be responsible for developing and leading a team of material handlers that support our Value Streams (confirms and records the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and managing the inter-departmental transport of materials). Additionally, you will be responsible for interacting with and leading continuous improvement efforts with supporting organizations throughout our organization including Contracts, Sales, Supply Chain, and Operations.

 

Responsibilities:

·          Direct the day-to-day operations of material handlers and shipping/receiving employees including: establishing clear direction and providing challenging assignments for employees.

·          Meet key performance indicators through effectively managing material logistic functions to achieve aggressive OTD, inventory, and past due performance metrics.

·          Confirm adequate levels of materials and/or product inventories are maintained and arrive on time to the appropriate cells; Anticipate and manage product shortages in an effective manner

·          Ensure the efficient and cost effective management of shipping outgoing materials and supplies, including packaging our products and preparing for delivery to our customers

·          Ensure logistics and trade compliance

·          Drive lean initiatives to maximize efficiencies, minimize waste and  improve safety

 

Minimum Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in related field

·         4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

·         Experience deploying continuous improvement tools such as KanBan, 6-Sigma and Lean Manufacturing are highly preferred.

·         Interpersonal Communication – written and verbal to motive and lead others

·         Past track record of innovative solutions to improve output

·         Demonstrates a customer focus that promotes partnerships while meeting expectations

·          Computer proficiency (MS Office)

 

Eligibility Requirement: Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible.
