What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Accountabilities in this role
- This role is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the daily activities in warehouse operations, managing hourly warehouse associates performing picking, packing and loading of medical products.
- Manages staff to ensure timely distribution and receipt of product while meeting standards of budget, policies, procedures, and quality.
- Monitors warehouse productivity, adheres to budget, and works towards obtaining Distribution Center objectives and operations goals.
- Coordinates maintenance of equipment, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairs.
- Ensures warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform distribution functions.
- Recommends and implements programs, policies, and strategies to increase production and efficient space utilization.
Qualifications

- High school diploma required; degree preferred
- 1-2 years related experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts and principles beneficial
