Support Analyst and Developer – Commodities-Indexed Transactions recruitment

CIT provides liquidity and market-making services across commodity markets to a large and diversified base of clients worldwide.
This role will be the first-line support of critical in-house front-to-back trading s systems and services used by the Commodites-Indexed Transactions Group in New York. The person will coordinate with the London CIT IT Development team and develop bug-fixes and new features within the Global CIT IT Platform. Products covered include North American Power and Gas, Oil, Natural Gas Liquids, Base and Precious Metals.
The main responsibilities for the position are :
1 - (70%) Support in-house and vendor trading systems, feeds and applications used by CIT front office and operations in NY, centered around a branch of Triplepoint CXL. Functionality covers trading, market data analysis, confirmations, physical commodity scheduling, transaction settlements and accounting.. In-house technology is primarily C#/VB.Net, Oracle/MS SQL Server database, MS Excel/VBA.. CXL is primarily Java/Delphi/Oracle.
2 - (30%) As a member of the Global CIT IT team, participate in the development of the Global CIT IT Platform which will eventually replace CXL.. Target technology is primariy C#/MS SQL Server.
Skills
- Intermediate level object-oriented programming experience, preferably C#.
- Intermediate level relational database experience, preferably MS SQL Server.
- Working knowledge of financial markets, derivative products, etc.
- Commodities Derivatives knowledge a big plus, especially in North American Gas and Power markets.
- Business currently uses a branch of Triplepoint CXL for physical gas and power trading, scheduling and settlement functionality. Work experience with CXL or similar energy trading risk management system a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills..
- Must be able to thrive in a demanding front-office environment.
