Support Analyst recruitment

Support Analyst within European Cash Execution supporting the Bank’s bespoke sales trading, trading and client-facing applications. Part of team of several support analysts responsible for the production stability of a suite of front-to-back applications and ensuring the ongoing process improvements to increase system availability and supportability over time.

- Your job will involve providing technical support to the bank’s traders and sales traders as well as external clients and vendors which will give you the opportunity to build very close working relationships with both the business and the development teams.
- Working as part of team of several analysts you will to be responsible for all aspects of incident resolution including impact analysis, root cause identification, effective communication with affected users and escalation to senior management.
- You will have the opportunity to work the support onboarding for new development initiatives by providing support and monitoring requirements, documenting support procedures and training your colleges on new functionality.
- You will be encouraged to implement improvements to support procedures, work with developers to improve support tools and business analysts and project managers to identify improvements to business applications.

Requirements

- You are a support analyst with strong technical skills.
Oracle knowledge and strong SQL skills is highly desired
Solaris, Linux/ Unix OS experience is a requirement
Networking, TCP/IP, Tibco RV support experience is highly desired
FIX knowledge and experience is highly desired

- You must have the ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple, concurrent and conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- You have strong communication skills and must be able to gain internal support; operate independently with limited supervision; and establish a solid working relationship with member firms, vendors, technical staff, business executives, and peers.
- You are keen to learn new technologies and build a solid understanding of the business context of the applications.
- You must have a strong focus on ownership of issues and commitment to resolving them, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proven track record of building successful working relationships with managers and peers at all levels of an organisation.
- You must be highly committed.
- Reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy are essential to ensure a courteous and efficient service is provided with tact and patience.
- Experience of front office investment banking environment is highly desirable. Any experience of Electronic Trading, Trade lifecycle and Market structures is extremely welcome.
