Description

Oversee the daily activities of the group; monitor workload and delegate assignments. Oversee the price challenge process and daily valuation process. Work closely with pricing vendors, counterparties, sub-custodians and clients. Perform ad-hoc reports and analyses on behalf of the Manager. Ensure department quality through regular monitoring of procedures and processes. Conduct securities research using industry market data sources. Guide Specialists in tailoring internal practices to client s internal accounting framework. Assist with the management reporting for the unit; regularly update management on work status, issues or high-risk events. May provide solutions and recommendations. Manage staff to include their performance management, training and professional development. Incumbents at the Supervisor level usually have in-depth technical knowledge in either Pricing or Derivatives, and a strong technical understanding of other discipline. Must have an in-depth understanding of the financial industry and knowledge of securities and operations. Incumbent must possess time-management and task prioritization skills and the ability to work under strict deadlines. Must possess solid PC skills including a deep understanding of spreadsheets and relational database querying. Incumbent is expected to identify and address complex problems or broad issues with procedures and apply technical knowledge to solve them. Incumbents work quality and management skills have a direct effect on team performance and the achievement of the unit s goals and objectives. Work with other diverse Bank of New York Mellon units. Incumbent must possess strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated customer service skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics. 5 to 7 years1 to 2 years supervisory or leadership experience.
