Sybase Developer
The Hiring Team is looking for a strong Sybase Developer. This is a project that is supporting a Volker enhancement to a Home Office reporting system. The person should have at least 5 years hands-on experience doing development work with Sybase, NOT performing the duties typically associated with being a DBA. Candidate must have experience with coding in both Perl and Java, but again Sybase development is key. The group has indicated that the biggest issue that they have come across is that they’re seeing far too many people who are functionally DBA’s and do light development in Sybase. (They want hardcore coders, not DBA’s)
