- IBM ESS
- RS6000 SP/PSSP (CSM) Installation, configuration and trouble shooting
- HACMP and HACMP/ES
- DNS / DHCP
- Documentation, eg. Runbook
- Performance Monitoring and trouble-shooting.
- Unix Scripting
- Perform Operating System and Production Upgrades
- Able to supervise others
- AIX system security
- TSM/ADSM
- RS/6000
- AIX System Admin Certification
- Oracle DBA
- SAP
- Plan upgrades and other changes to the UNIX environment
- Determine failure faults and causes
- Provide Team Leaders with input re projects/direction when required
- Manage and resolve problems identified by users or monitoring software
- Work with change and problem management tools
- Provide technical assistance to the other members of the System Administration team
- Hardware fault detection and correction
- Customer vendor liaison
