System Integration Manager (AVP/VP) – Investment Bank recruitment
Responsibilities:
• Infrastructure design, planning, forecasting and delivery
• Understanding business initiatives and requirement to ensure IT solutions are feasible and cost effective
• Active engagement with Equities development and support teams with a focus on requirements, inventory, capacity, utilisation and obsolescence
• Capacity management including server and storage allocation, re-allocation and decommissioning to maximize infrastructure estate efficiency
• Working closely with senior management, stakeholders, development teams and service delivery manager
• Improving process, tools and procedures aligned to industry best practices
• Communicating business requirements to engineering and production groups
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
• Min. 5 years relevant experience in an investment bank/financial institution
• Strong infrastructure project management experience
• Excellent communicator, presenting to Managing Director and Director level stakeholders
• Committed to process improvement
• Good influencing and persuasion skills
• Infrastructure Capacity and Performance
• Data collection, consolidation, analysis and reporting
• Good technical knowledge of UNIX / Windows including enterprise class servers and blades hardware and operating systems
• Knowledge of the main storage technologies (NAS, SAN and DAS)
• Knowledge of network technologies including switches, firewalls, routers and load balancers
• Experience of working with databases and data analysis tools such as SQL and Excel
