System support analyst Job in Cork Ireland

Our client, based in Little Island, requires a system support analyst.

The role of the Systems Application Support is to analyse, document and propose solutions for large and/or complex business areas and to prepare functional specifications.

The Systems Application Support will work with MIT / vMIT management in order to help them do a better job of organising the company and making it as profitable as it possibly can be.

The role will have various general responsibilities relevant to the needs of the department with a key focus on supporting the end Customers needs with regard to creation, publication and analysis of data.

This will involve interaction with the Customer or their representatives in face to face and team conference meetings.

The Systems Application Support must review the data of a company as well as their current work habits and make suggestions for doing a more efficient job.

The role may involve travelling, representation of the company interests at key customer meetings and also be responsible for training employees and developing standards and procedures for the work force to follow.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Customer Solutions
· Full CDMS super user responsibility
· Development of CDMS capabilities for the benefit of the client, including designing, optimisation of reporting and interfacing capabilities
· Development and implementation of all relevant systems training and development requirements
· New Release Training for CDMS
· Data Quality Management for CDMS and associated Web applications
· Full documentation of all current and future processes within the CDMS Application per business type.
· Web tool improvement suggestions for business and customer
· Development of efficient reports and metrics to understand and improve the business using internal and external tools
· KPI Management of suppliers.
· Systems analysis business process improvements
· Constantly building and developing knowledge
· General application troubleshooting and necessary escalations.
· Manage and optimise SCI message interface (s)
· Constantly reviewing continuous improvement opportunities

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS

Education/Qualifications
· Degree qualification in Business IT
Skills / Competencies
· Excellent communication Skills
· Strong MS Excel skills. Experience of formulas and external data imports.
· Good knowledge of database design and SQL
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
