Systems Administrator Job in Hillsboro, Oregon US

Remedy Intelligent Staffing is looking for an IT Systems Administrator, this is a temporary position starting 4/2-8/3/2012.

Job Responsibilities
• Primary party responsible for engineering activities related to the introduction of new software, integration with other applications and groups, changes in process or architectural changes related to environments or applications supported by the team
o Architectural health of Active Directory (schema, trusts, OU structure, etc.)
o Change management
o Incident and Problem management, including RCA
o Disaster Recovery testing support
o Maintenance of lab and development environments
o Design, install, provide engineering support for Certificate Services
o Design, install, provide engineering support for AD Federated Services
o Design, install, provide engineering support for application integration with Active Directory

Skills, Knowledge, Experience
• Senior level Active Directory support with emphasis on large scale directory design, naming standards development, role placement, schema management, etc., and who has proven skills for developing directory aware applications and utilities.
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing, monitoring, traffic analysis, proxy configuration, RADIUS, EAP/TLS, 802.1x, remote access policies, etc.
• Strong SQL skills including database design, application development, DR, replication and reporting.
• Possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills: ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues, alternatives, and recommendations
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Project Management skill levels sufficient for the understanding and implementation of within-team and cross-functional projects
• Proven troubleshooting skills and ability to understand complex relationships between components of multi-tiered and distributed systems related to directory services.
• Self-driven and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Experience in a user-focused technical-support environment
• ITIL Foundations knowledge
• Classic ASP and ASP.NET development experience
• 5+ years scripting and application development experience (e.g. PowerShell, VBScript, NET)

Qualifications Work Environment
• Minimum of 5 years experience in an Windows Active Directory engineering work environment
• Relevant Microsoft certification (MCTS/MCITP/) is a plus
• Bachelor's degree (B.S./B.A.) in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field is desired
• Available for off-hours escalations as 2nd and 3rd tier of on-call support
