EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you must have:
• 3-5 years of PeopleSoft HRMS and North American Payroll modules (version 8.0+).
• Knowledge of USA Payroll.
• Experience in project/implementation work.
• Strong PeopleSoft experience.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As part of the transition team, carry out activities to successfully transition new client, including job knowledge transfer, forms setup, operating procedures, etc.
Following transition, carry out the following responsibilities as business as usual:
• Schedule, execute and monitor key PeopleSoft jobs and functions that are required to complete payrolls.
• Work with Clients, Payroll Administrators and HR IT to investigate issues and errors during regular payroll processing.
• Complete set up and maintenance of payroll tables in the PeopleSoft System. E.g. Earnings and Deduction codes.
• Manage implementation and testing of PeopleSoft tax updates.
• Manage scoping, costing and implementation of changes to PeopleSoft systems.
• Assists the planning and coordination of the activities for effective delivery of assigned annual projects (e.g. Payroll Year-End, Incentive payouts, etc.).
• Responsible for year-end deliverables (audit reports, error reports, etc).
• Create ad-hoc queries using PS Query or AQT/SQL Developer to provide data to Payroll team members/managers for audits, investigations, etc.
• Interpret changes to State/Federal legislation and how they would impact PeopleSoft systems.
• Test changes to PeopleSoft system by setting up test cases, simulating pay runs, etc.
• Provide coaching and expert knowledge on PeopleSoft system set-up and payroll processing to Payroll administrators, management and clients.
• Prepare business requirements documents for changes to PeopleSoft systems and/or Payroll processes.
• Verify and evaluate payroll program specifications created by programmers. May act as liaison between payroll and HR IT to create documentation of system functions and facilitate the training of payroll staff in the use of changes to PeopleSoft systems.
• Manage and coordinate Offcycle pay-runs (related to missed payments, year-end, etc.)
• Provide support for major projects such as PeopleSoft upgrades, client RFPs, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ability to work with ambiguity.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
• Operations analysis and project methodology.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills.
• Flexibility to contribute over and above required work schedules.
• Knowledge of testing methodologies.
• Intermediate ability to read and write SQL.
• Familiarity with XML and FTP tools.
• Minimum 5 years related experience in a technical role in a Payroll/IT environment.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelors Degree is preferred.
• Payroll designation is preferred, but not required.
