Systems Designer

The Systems Designer interacts with multiple design groups to ensure the proper design and function of gas turbine systems. In this role, the Systems Designer assists in the creation of system-level requirements documents that can be integrated into individual component designs, manages the interface definition between design groups, and participates in the integration of the gas turbine engine with customer airframes. The Systems Designer will also assist in the creation and management of basic overall engine configuration in the early phase of engine design. Key Accountabilities: Interface identification and management Bill of Material creation and organization Creating and flowing down design requirements Oversee gas turbine configuration management at the behest of the Chief Design Engineer Manage system level root cause corrective action investigation Manage airframe integration Other whole engine system level activities as directed Rolls-Royce has a broad customer base comprising 600 airlines, 4,000 corporate and utility aircraft and helicopter operators, 160 armed forces, more than 2,000 marine customers including 70 navies, and energy customers in 120 countries.
