My client is a financial services firm located in the city of London.

The Role: The Infrastructure Team is looking for a Systems Engineer. This role requires the candidate to have a proven track record of supporting Microsoft Server Technologies along with virtualization and scripting. This position is based in the London office.
Responsibilities
o Managing and maintaining the operational integrity of our systems.
o Provide innovative solutions to meet technical requirements.
o Respond to incidents and alerts
o Provide out of hours technical support when required.
o Participation in the planning, development and delivery of projects.
o Provision of new and updated documentation and knowledge articles
Requirements
o Several years of System administration experience with a proven, demonstrable track record.
o Microsoft Windows Server operating systems and services such as SQL, IIS, Active Directory and Group Policy.
o Experience of programming or scripting to automate administrative tasks.
o Proficient in ITIL Vsphere / VCentre and HP Blade technologies.
o Certified in ITIL V3 foundation.
o Experience of security standards, best practices and principles.
o Excellent teamwork and organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to handle and lead multiple tasks.
o Strong time management skills - the ability to balance high quality work standards against time constraints.
o Excellent communication and documentation skills.
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent with strong academic credentials.
o Experience in products such as BMC Bladelogic, BMC Remedy and Private Cloud automation (ideally BMC CLM).
