Our Client, located in Erie, PA, has an immediate contract opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer ? Electrical Controls. Job Description: Will conduct design and analysis work, plan and conduct validation tests, coordinate design efforts, and manage tradeoffs and interfaces between subsystems. Provide technical configuration, coordination and systems leadership for locomotive designs Gain an understanding of the product and understand system and subsystem interactions. Work with the subsystems to assure all designs will integrate properly when applied to the overall system Hold system level design reviews and participate in project reviews Attend design reviews and provide input as the systems integrator Understand trade-offs and work with program team to help come to a consensus Work closely with Marketing, Proposal Leaders, and the Commercial team to insure all requirements (customer, internal, and regulated) are evaluated and flowed down to the design teams Develop all necessary systems documentation for the program including requirements documents, configuration documents, option based platform, and systems test documents Manage the validation testing on the first production unit to insure that the product is validated and meets the documented requirements Candidate Requirements: BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline 3-5 years hands on experience, focused on controls/electrical engineering Program/project management experience preferred Client has implemented the following guidelines: 1. As this is a long-term contract assignment, the client will not assist in any relocation. 2. You must have the correct documentation to work in the United States for any employer 3. Employment is contingent upon successfully clearing a criminal background check and successfully passing a drug screen.
