We have an immediate need for a ystems Engineer - Redhat Linux (RHEL), Shell script
Job Description:
RHEL 5/6 knowledge/experience is required for this position. Heavy shell scripting experience with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple development projects in a version control environment is also preferred.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in all of the following areas: bash, ksh, Python, CVS, RPM, Red Hat Satellite, and VMware. Equivalent experience in comparable areas will be considered. Managing a conference line for support (greeting, queuing, resolving questions) - Clear and accurate communication skills - Night work (USA/Mountain Time) is a requirement.
Remote Technical Support to help with Technical Refresh called One touch- replacing old equipment with new for standalone sites (not data centers). Requires 3-5 years previous RHEL 5/6, 3-5 years Shell Scripting, able to communicate effectively with different levels. EVENING HOURS typically 3:00PM - 11:00PM M-F with flexibility around start end times within 2 hours (starting anywhere from 3-5 and work 8 hour shift) hours will depend on where servers are being installed and time zone. Must sit in Chandler office
