Highlights of Responsibilities Responsible for planning, integration, and upgrading on a geographically dispersed network with multiple types of servers and server applications to include but not limited to; Exchange 2003, SQL, Oracle, IIS, SMS and Share Point. Facilitate the software development process from beginning to end (requirements identification through deployment). Responsible for the effective and efficient operation and interconnectivity of a Network, the management of virtual server configurations, and the configuration and management of SAN equipment. Coordinate Information Assurance efforts and network security with the Computer Security Manager. Supervise the actions required to correct deficiencies or shortcoming and to improve system performance and efficiency and assist in the integration efforts for lifecycle migration plans, as well as new systems with COTS, GOTS, NDI (non-development items), and developmental equipment. Must be a self-starter with an advanced level of experience working with systems and networks. Provide strong working knowledge of Active Directory Services, Microsoft Cluster Services, Group Policies, and a proven track record of supporting large geographically dispersed enterprise networks. Support and be familiar with network systems to include the operation and support of Web Servers and a strong understanding of network communication equipment. Working knowledge and understanding of SAN architecture. Communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner in interfacing with client managers and system users. Work in a dynamic fast paced environment that requires team interaction and coordination of efforts. Requirements Must possess a TS/SCI polygraph clearance. Possess a strong background with meeting the requirements of DCID 6/4. Five plus (5+) years? experience working with the agile process. Five plus (5+) years? experience with software development process with experience in multiple areas such as Configuration Management (CM), Requirements Management, Test and writing technical documents. Ability to understand software systems and document standard operating procedures and other system/process documents. Three plus (3+) years? experience developing MS Project Schedules. CISSP Certification or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment. Ten plus (10+) years of experience as a Systems Engineer. Five plus (5+) years? experience designing, planning, and implementing complicated geographically dispersed systems infrastructures with the latest technology. Five plus (5+) years? experience with understanding and operational experience using VMware vSphere (4.0), HP EVA SAN Arrays, NetApp SAN Arrays, and Intel Network Services. Familiarization with COMMVAULT Enterprise Backup Software. Ability to identify and troubleshoot hardware and software technical problems related to LANs/WANs.
