Your Role
In your role as a Systems Engineering Manager, you will manage a staff of employees within the Propulsion and Controls (PPC) Engineering Department. You will be concentrating on Requirements management; System design which includes Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMI), Reliance, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS); Product Verification and Validation (VV), which includes System Test and Commissioning; Risk and opportunity (RO) management as well as Issue management. Finally, you will manage the staff and resources of our Power Lab.
Your Challenges
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the staff of engineers within the team. Ensure that system solutions are fully compliant to vehicle, customer and regulatory requirements and that design issues and engineering risks and opportunities are properly investigated and contained;
- Ensure adherence to engineering processes to provide high quality designs that meet customer budgets, schedule and expectations. Drive core processes to improve performance;
- Assume responsibility and accountability for Systems Engineering outputs, including supporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI);
- Manage the assignment of team members to projects. Address resource conflicts and proactively plan the hiring of qualified resources. Prioritize and coordinate Systems specialist support to projects teams;
- Develop team members to achieve full potential in assigned roles. Create and implement plans to improve employee performance, skills, motivation and engagement.
Your Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required;
- 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics or Propulsion devices;
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a leading role;
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
