Under general supervision, provide training to military customers regarding technical aspects of designated tactical communication systems or services. Tasks include stand-up instruction, updating training material as new technology requirements are revised, and provide over-the-shoulder training to military personnel.
Designated senior instructors will be required to provide remedial instruction/oversight of junior trainers. May be required to participate or lead a mobile training team to remote locations and provide training to USMC customers on designated systems.
Requires a Bachelors Degree or at least 6 years of experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in a training development environment.
Requires a US Military Training Certification (Basic, Senior or Master) OR CompTIA Certified Technical Trainer Plus (CTT+).
Must be familiar one or more of the following systems: DTC-R and fielded tactical communication devices including:
- A basic understanding of IP and subnetworks (Cisco routers and switches)
- Understanding of voice switching (REDCOM, VX-900)
- Basic understanding of multiplexing (Promina, TAC-900, timing)
- Able to learn complex communication systems
Senior instructors will provide remedial instruction to junior trainers where necessary. May be required to participate in a mobile training team in a remote location and provide training to military customers on designated systems.
The following is also required:
- Customer service awareness as well as written and oral communications proficiency.
- Advanced level experience using Microsoft Office and SharePoint products.
- Ability to facilitate collaboration in a team environment.
