Tax Accountant – Fortune 500 – Dubai recruitment
This is a great opportunity to join this Fortune 500 global utilities organisation's growing tax team in Dubai. With offices across the world, 50,000+ employees and close to US$ 15 billion revenue in 2011, this is a business with highly complex and stimulating tax issues.
Your region will encompass Iraq, Egypt and Oman, amongst others. Reporting to the Tax Director, your main responsibilities will include:
- Tax Accounting - Managing and reviewing FAS 109 and FIN 48 provision;
- Tax Advisory - Advising the business on tax issues in your market and handling tax controversy;
- You will also be involved in tax planning for your region.
Requirements
- You will ideally be ACA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent) and have strong international tax experience gained in a Big 4 or multinational environment, preferably gained in theMiddle East.
- Driven, enthusiastic and a great team player
- Sound understanding of IFRS US GAAP
- Able to travel internationally - 25%
Given the nature of the region you will be dealing with, fluency in Arabic is highly desirable, however not mandatory. Fluency in English is obligatory.
