The Tax Accountant is responsible for reviewing transaction data bridged from a Trust Accounting system for the preparation of Federal and State Tax Returns, quarterly estimated tax payments and form 1099. Will also be responsible for working with clients on tax and data issues, will periodically review transaction data for accuracy for an account assignment consisting of Trust and Agency type accounts, and will analyze and prepare quarterly estimated tax payments for Fiduciary trust accounts. Selected candidate will be responsible for annual preparation of Forms 1041, 1099 and various state forms for accounts within the assignment and assisting clients with cleaning up data issues with the trust accounting vendor.

Qualifications

* At least 1-3 years of experience preparing Federal and State income tax returns, fiduciary tax return preparation preferred.
* Strong client interaction skills, computer proficiency and experience working with tax software products. Familiarity with ONESOURCE Trust Tax (formerly known as TrustEase) would be a plus.
* An understanding of the tax concepts needed to prepare the Federal and State income tax returns.
