Tax Assistant Manager Corporate Tax

An Assistant Manager position within my client's corporate tax department in Belfast has been created for an experience tax professional who wishes to develop their career with complex and significant corporate tax compliance.

You will be working in conjunction with other offices around the UK and your work will span across various industries as well as complexity

As an assistant manager an outline of your duties will be as follows, however they are not limited too:

The accurate preparation of more complex corporate tax computations across the range of industries for a large professional services firm’s tax business.

Initial preparation of corporate tax computations using the firm’s standard procedures

Identification and documentation of issues and preparation of client queries

Assisting and resolving queries in order to finalise the tax computations

Working as part of a wider team to complete required volumes of work

Preparation of related tax accounting disclosures

Coaching and assisting more junior colleagues

All other corporate compliance related activities as required

To qualify for the role you must have:

Experience of working in a corporate tax compliance role and understanding of preparation processes

Good related corporate tax technical knowledge and skills

Proactive approach to work and completing work by required deadlines

Proven team working skills

Exposure to other tax areas, (for example Non Resident Landlord, Partnerships and reporting funds) is not essential but would be desirable

Able to follow defined procedures and protocols

Ability to develop understanding and application of Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE Corporate Tax

Competent IT skills including a good understanding of Excel

You will ideally be ACA/ATT/CTA qualified
