Tax Marketing Manager

Position Summary:
 Deloitte Services, LP is currently searching for a Marketing Manager that will work with our Central region Tax leadership and other marketing professionals in support of the firm's business development objectives and marketing initiatives.  Primary responsibilities include the design, coordination, communication and implementation of national, functional and regional marketing strategies for the Tax function.  This position will be located in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities include the following:
• Develop and deliver an integrated marketing strategy and plan in support of the goals set forth by Central region Tax leadership, incorporating and leveraging National Tax Marketing programs and initiatives.  Manage programs and initiatives cost–effectively and achieve desired goals for building revenue, relationships and reputation. 
• Leverage understanding of the Central region Tax competitive landscape to identify areas of strength, weakness and opportunity. Work with Tax leadership to develop value propositions and key competitive differentiators to facilitate proactive business development and marketing strategies.
• Ensure alignment and support of Tax goals and objectives, and execution of the Tax Marketing plan.
• Manage execution of events geared toward client education, prospective client acquisition, and Deloitte eminence–building including, but not limited to conferences, roundtables, and sponsorships.  
• Collaborate with Central region Tax leadership to market new existing strategic growth Tax offerings based on emerging client needs.
• Work closely with Tax Business Development Managers (BDM) to create integrated marketing programs and events that result in revenue and lead generation opportunities.
• Serve as "Internal BDM" working with Tax Service Line Leaders to help integrate service lines into specific accounts and help ensure appropriate follow–up activities.
• Support strategic planning, budgeting, and program execution. Manage resources during project design, development, and completion.
• Team with public relations to identify appropriate PR activities to enhance Tax leadership eminence in key growth markets.
• Track and manage ROI and other program performance metrics.

• 7+ years of experience in Marketing, with experience and results driving relationship–building strategies.
• Ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Tax function .
• Proven ability to create and execute a strategy–based marketing plan in a fast–paced environment.
• Experience managing teams in a professional services or large matrixed organization, previous experience in a large professional services or consulting firm a plus. Experience effectively managing offshore resources, such as in India, also a plus.
• Excellent oral communications skills and professional client service manner.
• Superior writing skills, with demonstrated ability to create marketing collateral, press releases, web content and internal communications materials.
• Demonstrated strength in building commitment and managing projects to consistently deliver high–quality results.
• Proven ability to work well with a team, both on location and in a virtual mode, and ability to take initiative and interact with/influence all levels of management.
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic marketing guidance and leadership support with a proven ability to manage the tactical execution of the plan.
• Demonstrated leadership ability incorporating flexibility, adaptability, resourcefulness and a positive attitude.
• Sound knowledge of marketing fundamentals.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications or related field; Master's degree preferred.
