Team Head – Cash Operations (Asset Management) recruitment

Our client is a major Asset Management Company who is seeking a high caliber and versatile candidate who is able to work in a fast paced environment. The Cash Operations department is responsible for monitoring and recoding of cash activities in clients’ portfolios; processing and arranging for settlement of foreign exchange and time deposit.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the smooth running of the Cash Operations Team.

• Actively review operations workflow to improve efficiency. Workflow coverage spans from trade matching/ confirmation to settlement, Scope of instruments covered includes currency spot, currency forwards and time deposit.

• Ensure resolution of Cash Operations issues and queries from counterparties, custodians and clients.

• Effective management of counterparties and custodians.

• Ensure excellence and flawless delivery of service to internal stakeholders such as fund managers and dealers within the region.

• Plan and execute ad-hoc projects and assignments.

• Work closely with the other Managers in the department to ensure the Portfolio Services department functions smoothly.

• Responsible for the performance and career development of the Cash Operations team.

• Assist in the coordination and implementation of new business requirements that will impact the department.

The ideal candidate should be degree qualified in Accounting, Business or Finance discipline with a strong analytical mind. Minimum 8 years of settlement experience within the Asset Management space. Familiar with Asia Pacific markets funding practice and requirements. Thorough understanding of Cash/FX/MM/Treasury products. Experience in managing a team and an aptitude for systems are required.
