Team Lead/Fixed Income Technology Development
Description
Lead small team of developer/analysts to provide analysis, development, and solutioning for rapidly growing Fixed Income broker-dealer front office.
Responsibilities
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Lead analysis, development and solutioning of both buy and build projects related to Fixed Income trading requirements.
- Ensure adherence to SDLC, regulatory, and policy requirements.
- Manage and complete deployment of application changes, updates, upgrades and patches as per the change management procedures. Work closely with the application developers to ensure successful deployment and installation
- Provide courteous, efficient, and professional 2ndline support to ensure inquiries, problems and issues are resolved promptly and effectively
- Ensure support issues related to applications are resolved in a timely manner
- Assist in the diagnosis and resolution of application problems and resolve problems from internal functional teams
- Monitorproduction applications including configurations and change history information as required
- Work with supportteams to help trouble-shoot and determine root-cause of application issues and problems
- Document reported problems and incidents
- Escalate issues when appropriate to ensure problems or requests are communicated effectively and receive proper management attention
- Invoke incident management processes as per established procedures
- Propose ways to continually improve the application environment
Business Partnership
- Establish strong working relationships with team members across all IT functions and across the business as appropriate
- Maintain contact with the business users to proactively identify application needs
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
People Management
- Demonstrate ability to lead in team environment and help resolve issues
- Communicate status / risks to manager regarding delivering solution on time
- Manage individual workload and deliver to agreed-upon project milestones
Requirements
- 4 year degree or higher in IT discipline, business administration, or specialized training or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of application development experience using Java, SQL, middleware and source control
- Minimum 2years of small team/project leadership
- Experience with application integration technologies such as Ion Trading, Broadway Technology, Bloomberg
- Minimum 4years of Fixed Income work experience (bonds, interest rate swaps, futures, derivatives)
- Advanced knowledge of Fixed Income electronic trading practices, deal capture, risk, pl
- Advanced knowledge of business / organization, standards, SDLC, applications, architecture and technology in use
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly adapt to changing and competing priorities
- An ability to assess each customer/employees IT knowledge levels
- Ability to work in a fast paced, tight deadline environment
- Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer care skill
- BASE SALARIES START AT 140-200K plus excellent Bonus 30-70%
