Team Leader - Precision Production / Engineering Team Leader
Location: Nottinghamshire
Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 plus benefits
The Company
The opportunity has arisen to join a global leader in the production of bearings and components as an Engineering Team Leader within the Precision Production Department. You will be joining an innovative and expanding global enterprise as an Engineering Team Leader within their UK manufacturing facility.
The Role
The Precision Production Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring daily output targets are achieved by exercising control of Assembly operations. The Team Leader will promote and develop continuous improvement activities to reduce cost and waste and to improve quality. The Team Leader will support the development of a safe and environmentally friendly culture across the production plant. The Team Leader will be a motivator to their team and provide appropriate training for manual workers to achieve a highly skilled workforce.
The Candidate
You will be a passionate driver of process and productivity improvements, and have strong leadership skills in a high quality and labour intensive manufacturing environment. You will have had experience working within an engineering environment, preferably working to fine tolerances. You will ideally be educated to HNC/A Level in a mechanically biased subject, and hold a risk assessment and Health and Safety C.O.S.H.H. qualification, or have at least undergone such training. You will also hold a Fork-Lift Truck License.
