Team Leader

This leadership role that has been created to ensure the right level of strategic focus for client service and customer experience is attained.

As a Team Leader of the Retail Institutional Client Services Team you will be responsible for managing, developing, coaching and motivating a team of Client Service Consultants who are required to manage client queries and reporting relating to the Australian Funds Management Business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Actively lead and develop the team to manage daily and future inbound calls, inbound emails and client reporting.
• Review and manage all operational plans so they align with the overall Client Services strategy and ensure the team understand how their actions contribute to them
• Work in partnership with the Retail Institutional leadership teams to identify and understand their overall business objectives and determine the best strategies to meet their needs.
• Continually focus on implementing process improvements to ensure the delivery of timely and efficient solutions to the business, our clients and our advisers.
• Work and consult with key business contacts, both internal and external to ensure the appropriate delivery of services and standards are maintained.
• Ensure strategic initiatives are implemented in the most timely and efficient manner and delivered to expected business objectives.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven leadership ability with experience managing mid size teams across client contact centres within Retail Funds Management, Platforms or Unit Registry.
• Strong understanding of the funds management and superannuation business principles, standards, processes practices particularly within Australian Retail and Institutional areas
• Demonstrated experience in delivering process improvements, preferably using 'Lean' or 'Six Sigma' methodology.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current market conditions, factors impacting business performance and competitor performance products
• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on being able to work in a highly collaborative environment supporting multiple business units
