Team Leader BioSpecimen Management (Senior Level)
Our customer is a leader in developing and marketing state-of-the-art, innovative in-vitro Diagnostics and has its Headquarter in Switzerland. On behalf of our customer we are looking for a senior professional able to manage a team that is responsible for the acquisition, management and distribution of biological specimens.
The BioSpecimen Management department is a service unit within the Global Development organization providing development groups with Biosamples to make state of the art and innovative IVD development possible.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage projects and sub-projects and ensure detailed planning including suitable estimations (projects are in cooperation with internal and external cross functional teams and partners)
- Ensure definition and delivery of BioSpecimens
- Maintain budget and cost management of projects
- Cultivate internal and external contacts and ensure contact with key stakeholders (internal contacts include Development, Procurement, Legal)
- Collaborate with the Global Team Leader based in the US and lead interdisciplinary, international project teams
- Create and present project status reports, setup and maintain project control, present to internal and external stakeholders
- Support the local team based in Switzerland with line management responsibilities, measure team performance and improve processes
Experience/Qualifications required:
- A scientific degree, preferably in Biology, Biochemistry or equivalent
- Experience with biological material management, biobanking, clinical trial management or GLP knowledge are desired
- Professional experience in customer service and project or program management within a scientific setting
- Ability to resolve conflicts and adapt to change
- Ability to execute authoritative decisions and account for the result
- Ability to work under high pressure and prioritize
- Experience in team leadership is a must
- Fluency in English and German would be a desirable asset
