Team Leader, Broker Account Management – Commodity Trading Solutions Provider, London – £70-90k basic + bonus + package recruitment

My client develops and supports the platform for inter-dealer Brokers, Trading firms and Exchanges, with a diverse global client base with a particular focus within commodity derivatives.  Over the last 3 years, they have doubled their number of clients, staff and revenue and are looking to continue to build on this with this key hire.

The Team Leader for Broker Account Management will define and drive my client’s commercial and strategic business with existing clients within the Interdealer Broker business, through developing high-level collaborative relationships within the existing global customer base.  You will be the Client’s commercial point of contact, focusing on strategic level discussions, with the view to expanding their revenue, understanding client’s business objectives and future plans (positive and negative) and then linking this to their product offerings.  The role will thus typically involve interacting with brokers, IT managers and senior level decision makers and influencing their market structure decisions to drive strategic and substantial financial results for my client.

Essential Experience/Skills:

-          Proven experience of account management and growing a revenue base in a consultative sales or account manager position, in financial services

-          Financial industry experience and market knowledge, ideally within the energy sector

-          Markets and trading knowledge within a commercial service provider model

-          Ability to influence people and manage a wide portfolio of clients and drive strategic and business decision making

-          Strong ability to develop and nurture strong working relationships with ‘C’ Level / senior managers / decision makers

-          Practical experience developing and closing long-cycle strategic sales

-          Degree educated

Desirable Experience/Skills:

-          Other European languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian etc)

-          Previous Inter Dealer Broker experience

-          Business development experience

-          Familiarity with the software development lifecycle
