Role Summary:
- To assist in all aspects of customer service organization to provide Lonza customer with superior customer service through process excellence.
Primary Role Responsibilities:
- Provides back up to all Customer Service Team for both international and domestic accounts
- Responsible for implementation of SAP enhancements per direction of the Team Leader/ Manager in order to achieve constant process improvements.
- Manage orders for strategic accounts and non-strategic accounts as assigned
- Responsible for the timely resolution and communication to a variety of customer complaints and issues including the implementation of corrective action plans relating to customer service
- Responsible for project management and support as assigned, including but not limited to documentation of training material, test results to various departments along with ability to provide written and verbal project communications. Training of co-workers will be required as necessary.
- Maintains SAP master data
- Communicates as needed to appropriate departments using verbal and communication skills using tools including but not limited to Microsoft Office applications.
- Manages customer ordering methods, fax, e-mail, web sites etc to ensure timely and accurate order entry into SAP
- Responds to customer inquiries and trouble shoots customer issues, communicates verbally and written with various departments as needed. Organize information, present the resolutions
- Responsible for leading/supervising Customer Service Team. Balance workload, assign tasks, and evaluate overall performance of the individuals. Make process improvements to department operations to improve efficiency

Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree preferred or AS degree
- 5+ years progressive customer service experience preferably in a Chemical Manufacturing/ Personal Care environment
- 3+ years supervisory experience in customer field
- Computer literacy in addition to Microsoft Office applications, keyboard proficiency required
- SAP experience a plus
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate and resolve supply chain issues
- Ability to work in a fast paced office environment
- Ability to interface with various levels of management
- Ability to problem solve
