Project/Program Manager

Position Description:

The Technology Risk department has a vacancy for an experienced project and program manager.

There are three main parts to the role:
- To project manage two global multi-phase systems development projects, assisting the project leaders in structuring and executing the work. Both projects use global development teams with combination of employee and consultant staff
- To maintain program level tracking of a portfolio of risk reduction projects to assure management that the targeted risk reduction is being achieved according to the planned schedule
- To develop the project planning and tracking skills of other team members through on the job training

Skills Required:
- Must have project managed medium or large system development projects with 20+ team members
- Must have program managed programs with 20+ individual projects with a total budget of $10m
- Must have managed global teams with a combination of employees and consultant staff
- Must have an expert understanding of project and program management techniques, particularly governance, scope management, release management, project planning, project tracking, issue and action management, resource scheduling, status reporting, cost estimation actual cost tracking
- Must have a good understanding of project management tools including Microsoft Project
- Must have worked senior staff and be comfortable influencing and negotiating at that level

Skills Desired:
- Financial services project experience
- Technology Risk management, including process, risk control models
- Technology metrics, including operational metrics, project metrics, governance metrics
