In this role, you will work with business and technical decision makers from Microsoft enterprise accounts as well as Microsoft partners and Microsoft account teams. You will focus on leading Strategy Briefings (SB), Hands-on Experience sessions, Envisioning Demonstrations, Architecture Design Sessions (ADSs) and Proof of Concepts (POCs), helping enterprise customers identify and articulate the business opportunity, propose and validate solution architectures, and transfer knowledge on best practices through interactive white-boarding sessions and hands-on delivery. The successful candidate will have deep enterprise experience, including in-depth, hands-on knowledge of the Exchange messaging platform (2003, 2007, and 2010), Active Directory design and federation, and all aspects of Lync unified messaging. Experience with Lync voice solutions and integration with legacy phone and VOIP systems is essential. Knowledge of partner solutions that extend Lync functionality is highly desired. The role requires an affinity for evangelism and competitive engagement, often with groups biased against Microsoft solutions. The ability to win hearts and minds, and to explain abstract technical concepts in a business value context, is a must. The position requires a commitment to customer satisfaction, including internal customers, the ability to thrive in a virtual team environment, and strong communication, presentation and demo skills. The candidate must be a self-starter who takes ownership of engagements; works well independently and as part of a team; manages multiple simultaneous projects; and deals well with ambiguity and last-minute changes. The candidate needs to have the ability and passion necessary to maintain technical excellence with emerging technologies, including competitive technologies, while continuing to manage customer engagements. The person in this role also owns the primary relationship with several partner providers of hardware and software solutions for the Lync platform. A BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience combined with a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including a technical sales background is strongly preferred. This position is based in Edina, MN MTC. Infrequent travel is required.
